We ended up with a decent amount of Salad Greens from our first harvest of our AeroGarden . For this harvest we used standard household scissors, they seemed to work very well. Though we would recommend to make sure that your scissors are sharp (so that the cuts are clean).

The most efficient way to harvest Salad Greens from the AeroGarden , is to start at one end and just move through each pod (making sure not to remove more than 1/3rd of the leaves from each).

You can rinse your harvest after completed, but since you know that it hasn't been exposed to pesticides or other unknown items you don't need to worry about it. We found that putting our harvest into a Debbie Meyer's Green Bags; and place in the refrigerator for about an hour, helped crispen up the lettuce nicely. As good as the Salad Greens are, I'm doubtful that they will last very long in there as great tasting as they are. But, if you need to store your harvest it'll stay fresh for quite awhile.
