Another week has passed, for our Pepper Cherry plants. They are doing very well, one of the great things that we enjoy most about our AeroGarden is that you can take a look at the root system. The root system for each of the plants is very well established in the Aeroponic chamber.

We have been needing to add water to the AeroGarden about every 3-4 days. One way that I've been using to take note if water is needed, is that you can hear the water dropping through the grow sponges back into the reservoir. As the water level drops, the sound will become more pronounced. Even though the low water level light is not on, I still will fill the water reservoir back to the top and the sound goes away. So, it's just one thing that I've used to monitor the water level.

As you can see that the plants leaves and height are growing (upward and outward), since we have only the AeroGarden classic we ordered some of the AeroGrow soft tie. Which will be needed to give the plants support., as the plants start to fruit and grow the yummy peppers.

We are not able to see any flowering buds at the moment, but we should begin to see them show up in the next week or so. There were a couple of leaves toward the bottom of the plant that we needed to clean up and trim away. Aside of the little bit of maintenance, these plants have been very self sufficent which was expected. As we get closer, with our plants flowering and to include the peppers growing is when we will have a more active role. But, with the way time is flying (yes we are having fun!) it won't be too much longer.
