It's now been two weeks since we have planted our Pepper Cherries. They have been continuing to grow at a steady pace, we did switch over to the Large Nutrient tablets as stated in the Master Gardener Deluxe Guide. We did have three plants coming up in each pod, on Day 12 we trimmed out 2 of the three plants only leaving the strongest plant in each pod. Since then, the plants continued to do very well.

Once note to make on trimming the plants, make sure not to accidentally pull the plant that you are keeping. As at this time point the root isn't very deep and you could possibly pull out the good plant. Don't worry about the stems of the other plants, they will continue to try and grow but if you see them start to die or brown remove them as soon and safely as possible. As this could cause some problems in the future.

These are the latest pictures below you can see that each plant is looking healthy and the roots in the Aeroponic chamber are almost down into the water. Time for these plants to fruit is around 60-70 days, so we are still a little time away from eating sweet peppers (yum!).

So far, with the Master Gardener Deluxe Kit we have been very pleased with the results. I was a little skeptical about if we would have success or failure at the beginning. But after seeing how these are growing, I'm sure in the next couple of weeks that we'll see some peppers!

Do you have the Master Gardener Deluxe Kit? What type of vegetables or plants are you growing? We would love to hear your stories, feel free to post a comment or email us at: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
