Today is our second report from Days 4 to 6 of our Green Bag Study, to see how Debbie Meyer Green Bags keep Celery Hearts fresher for a longer period of time.
Taking a look at the Celery Heart that have been in the open ziplock container, the tips of the ends are have been starting to brown since about Day 3. Over the last few days they have been browning a little more each day, compared to those of the Celery Heart in the Green Bag, are still looking good as the day the celery heart was put into the Green Bag. Another thing to take note of is the feel of the celery heart in the ziplock container, has a rubbery type feeling (as you could bend it quite far each way without it breaking). Compared to the celery heart in the Green Bag, still has a very fresh and crisp feel to it. Looking at the celery heart overall, you can see some slight browning to the celery in the ziplock container. While the celery hearts in the Green Bag hardly has any browning occurring. So, just in these few days it is obvious of the benefit of storing celery hearts in the Debbie Meyer Green Bags is of great benefit. View: Green Bag Review: Celery Hearts (Days 7-9) |
