It's hard to believe that it has been over 9 weeks since we planted our first AeroGarden. You can see how the plants have recovered over the last 2 weeks since we did some extreme trimming during our last harvest. At first I was little concerned, but with making sure to leave young sprouts on each plant ensured that each plant would recovered just fine. When we started to harvest this afternoon, we initially thought that we wouldn't need to trim very much except the leaves we were going to harvest. But as we continued to look underneath the leaves, it became evident that we were going to need to trim quite a bit off the plants again. There were some signs of the younger growth starting to rot near the base, as they were not able to get the light that was needed. Again, we made sure to leave at least 1-2 new sprouts on each plant to make sure that they would grow back. We look forward to seeing how the plant recover from this trimming As you can see below, we had an exceptional harvest from our AeroGarden. We should have enough lettuce for several salads in the next few days.
