So, after planting the Romaine Seed pods into the nicely cleaned AeroGarden.  It was time to see just how fast these would germinate and sprout.  Now, we had flirted with the idea of keeping the lights on all the time.  But, we decided in the long run that it would be better to just follow the normal procedure for the AeroGarden Classic.

So, at just after 3pm (EDT) on Wednesday, September 3rd the AeroGarden was turned on once again.  By, Thursday afternoon when I took a look to check on the seed pods I could start to see some growth in all but 1 of the pods.  All I can say is "WOW"!, even for us we were very surprised to see that they had germinated that fast.  Towards the end of yesterday I took a look once again and I saw that the 1 seed pod that had not germinated indeed had.  Our schedule for the lights to be is from 6:00am to 10:30pm, other AeroGarden is the one that is running the all night (makes a great night-lite).

Taking a look at the AeroGarden this afternoon, the phenomenal growing continues.  Over half of the grow pods, have little leaves that are just about to break the plane of the growing surface.  Absolutely amazing, to see just how fast they are growing, it's about 1 day faster than our Salad Greens developed.  We did attempt to get pictures, but our current camera though it does take some nice pictures does have some issues with up close pictures.

We are definitely excited that things are off to such a good start for our Romaine Seed Kit.
