As you may have been following, but our Romaine lettuce seed kit has not been performing or looking very well over the last 2 weeks. So, I sent off an email to customer service at Aerogrow yesterday and this is the message that I got back from Lynne at Aerogrow customer service.

Aerogarden Update: Romaine lettuce stopped growing |

Well, we planted our Romaine Lettuce seed kit back on Sept 3rd. The seeds sprouted within about 24-36 hours and had been growing just fine. But, in the last two weeks all growth has stopped on all plants and we are now getting dead leaves showing up around the base of the plants.

The romaine lettuce plants are continuing to develop quite well, though we have had to go through and clean up some dead leaves that showed up around the base of a couple of plants. |

All 7 of the romaine seed kit pods are continuing to do very well. The root system continues to develop in the aeorponic chamber of the Aerogarden, most roots are just a few inches through the grow sponge.

We are now over 1 week into our growing season with the Romaine Lettuce seed kit for our AeroGarden . Since we have taken off the grow domes off of all 7 plants, they have been looking healthy and continue to grow. |
