Tomatoes have large amounts of vitamin C, and other vitamins including vitamin A, potassium, and iron. The red pigment in tomatoes is lycopene and a natural antioxidant. According to research, some of these nutrients may lower the risk of prostate, colon, stomach, breast, and endometrial cancers. Since you may not have to worry so much about getting these cancers and by consuming lycopene in tomatoes, you may live a longer and more active life!
